A Plant In Japan Actually Blogs! Amazing Facts!

I found something pretty interesting in the newspaper today. It's a blog, and the writer is suprisingly a plant named Midori. And Midori-san is an plotted plant placed on a cafe counter in Kamakura, Tokyo. In Japanese, midori means green. The plant is a hoya kerrii and also known as the sweetheart plant due to it leaf shape. Well, me, myself don't know what is this hoya kerrii plant. But the name sounds so kawaii. Well, the blog is fully written in Japanese. I have my hard time reading it too.

Here's the blog. (it's written in Japanese, I don't even know how to read it)

Here some of the blog post I took from Eastern Times, October 22 :
"Today was a sunny day and I was able to sunbathe a lot...I had quite a bit of fun today", Midori-san, whose name means "green" in Japanese posted on Oct 16.
And the latest entry reads: "It was cloudy today. It was a cold day".

Wow, the technology is so amazing now. They can even know what plants says. There were sensors on the plant that allows data to be sent to computers. So from that, it can easily translate it into words that we understand. It would also be good if they can do it with the hamster. :)
I owned a pet hamster named Chi-Chi.

I went there with my sis and mom. I had my beef rice. It tastes great. The baby octopus tastes a bit weird for me and the chuka wakame is still acceptable. They even selling edamame there but I haven't try it yet. I got some pics here.

Hiro Mashima Fairy Tail MangaKa

Hiro Mashima.

Who is this guy? Well, he is the manga-ka 漫画家 for Fairy Tail comic which is one of my favourites. He's been invited by DEL REY MANGA as a guest honour at San Diego recently. And he done a live demonstration of his drawing technique here.

DEL REL MANGA is a good site to keep updated with the world of manga. I love reading comics because they are a lot of fun and exciting to read. When an episode ends I just can't wait for another book again. It's more likely like watching drama but the different is just how the expression the artist put on the character.

I started to read Dragon Ball and read it till it ends. So sad they were no Dragon Ball stories anymore. Me and my siblings would share to buy the comic book. So, it loops around. That's how determined we are to read Dragon Ball. Here's his interview.

So, it's August now and so does my birthday..^たんじょうび、たんじょうび^ 8月9日.

I found out this site about festivals in Japan (Festivals In Japan). I've been to BonOdori in Penang before. There were lots and lots of stalls selling Japanese dishes such as sushi, ramen, takoyaki and etc(I forgot some of the names). I get to see children and some grown-ups wearing yukata. They also give away some free fan (uchiwa - うちわ). At night, they were performance ended up with some fireworks!!

Sushi

I love eating sushi and I can tell you guys it is not that difficult to make one.

Well, my friend taught me how to make sushi before and it didn't take that much time.

All you need is some vinegard sushi rice, cucumber/carrots/avocado, shrimps or perhaps a bit of tuna mayonaise, crab sticks and nori sheet.

I found this very informative about the sushi world here.

Maneki-Neko

I bought this Maneki-Neko when I was at the Penang BonOdori last year which they will held it every year on the month of July. I won't be able to go this year. :(

Maneki-Neko is the Japanese Beckoning Cat. "Neko" means cat in Japanese. When the right paw is lifted it means invites wealth or fortune and the left paw means invites people or customer.

That's why some shops display their maneki-neko in front of their shop. The most famous maneki-neko I've seen around here is the moving paw maneki-neko. In gold colour. It looks like the cat is calling you to go in the shops. This cat comes in various of colours and meanings. I found this interesting site here.

J-Drama (Anna San No Omame)

Anna-san No Omame,

That's the title for this drama. Well, when I first watched this drama it gives me that annoying feeling EVER! It's about this girl, Riri (Becky) who gets extreme misunderstanding with everyone she met. But in a way, this story is very interesting though and funny. When I watched it for the 2nd time, I found it very much more enjoyable (ew, I'm sorry to say this). I think Becky is so funny acting for this character. My favourite episode is when Riri and Kyotaro (Kashiwabara Shuji) exchanging their body, just like Freaky Friday, White Chick and Papa to Musume Nanokan. This time, I can see that Riri becoming normal. ^o^ And Kyotaro becoming just like Riri but in different body. If u want to watch something just for fun this may be it.

Cartoon KAT-TUN

Konnichiwa minna!

I haven't been posting here for a long time since, yeah I don't know when.

I like watching this Japanese show recently that is "Cartoon KAT-TUN" (カートゥンKAT-TUN). It's a talk show and their host is of course the Japanese pop group from Johnny's Group KAT-TUN. The show began just last year on April 2007.

Suprisingly, the theme song for this show is...GirlFriend by Avril Lavigne. Well, I love this show because every episode of it they were really funny. How Asian, aite? They have 6 segments for the show, but every week the segments will change.

100Q is the main segment, and the guest have to fill up a questionnaire before the show began. The answers will eventually scroll across the TV screen on a rotating ring and so, if any of the member who gets interested in knowing more, they simply touch the ring and it stops. Pretty interesting, huh?

And then, there's the MINI STAGE where the KAT-TUN will perform. DAT-TUN5 is a game of bingo darts. Avril Lavigne have been to this segment of this show before. Another one of my favourite is SMILE ATHLETE NO.1 DECISION BATTLE, they have to maintain their smiles while doing heavy athletic game. This is so funny because normally it would be hard to keep on smiling while we are pulling out all our strength.

The DANGEROUS PRESENT EXCHANGE, it looks like some smugglers trying to exchange their things to those KAT-TUN guys. I watched Ne-Yo before, exchanging gifts with KAT-TUN and he get a sneaker which he wears it on the MTV award.

♥disk is where the artist that they invite will talk about their favorite songs. I know 'bout KAT-TUN more after watching ONE POUND GOSPEL starring Kamenashi Kazuya (Hatanaka Kousaku). This drama is based on a comic book bout a boxer falling in love with a sister. I love Kamenashi-san character here and he plays it well.

Japanese cuisine @ Sakae Sushi

I went to Sakae Sushi at Queensbay Mall yesterday and ate my favourite dish. That is TERRIYAKI CHICKEN DONBURI. Here's the picture. Oooo....oishii...! The chicken tastes so great together with the onions, and the rice is so cute.

And this is the unagi temaki, scrumptous, the filling is of course the unagi, cucumber slices and cabbage, and rice...all together wrapped with the seaweed.

Below is the salmon sushi, cost me only RM1.90 for the green plate, Rm3.90 for pink plate and Rm5.90 for red plate.

This is new menu i tried, YAKI-SOBA. Looks like 'mee goreng', but in Japanese style. It have the BONITO, on top of it. And can see clearly that they are waving here n there. LOL. yeah, it's true, the bonitos are waving. I also tried the YAKO-TAKI, oishii too!

I also found this at Living Cabin, Rilakkuma keychain. I can't believe it. It's so cute with a bell in it.

Rilakkuma by San-X

Thanks to Kirin-san, I've gather some information about another cute character, that is Rilakkuma (リラックマ). Um, yeah it's the combination of Japanese pronunciation of relax and kuma, the Japanese word for bear. Who is this little Rilakkuma? He's a brown type of bear and lives in the house of an office lady, Kaoru. Rilakkuma have friends, Korilakkum and Kiiroitori. Korilakkum is a small white bear and likes to play pranks on Rilakkuma when he's sleeping, and kiiroitori is a yellow chick. They all are the Japanese character produced by San-X.

AMIGURUMI Kawaii yo!

As I was browsing around at Popular Bookstore that day, I bumped into some super kawaii creature crochet made "AMIGURUMI".

Amigurumi is Japanese craft of crocheting stuffed toys and they are really tiny in size. Which makes them so adorable and super kawaii. I'm going to learn to do this.

Here's some of the picture I got from this site:

Music On The Rack

Hey, my exam week haven't over yet. I've still got one paper left that is my laser paper. I haven't done my revision. My Japanese paper was so hard just now. I'm so confused when it come to the particles. Darn! But, anyhow what's done has been done. *grins* Ha Ha.

Hey, PARAMORE RIOT! album is super fantastic. There are 11 tracks on them:

1. For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic
2. That's What You Get
3. Hallelujah
4. Misery Business
5. When It Rains
6. Let The Flames Begin
7. Miracle
8. Crushcrushcrush
9. We Are Broken
10. Fences
11. Born For This

My all time favourite, that would be track no. 2 that is That's What You Get and Hallelujah. First time listening to Paramore was when I heard "Pressure" from the FueledByRamen's website.

FueledByRamen was the record label featuring lots of popular artist too like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard. Hayley's performance is very very energetic as well, should watch their live performance videos.
